@39cummins they do get warm but I did cut a good size of plastic for ventilation. Overall I believe its the perfect spot for xterras and for anyone that does the same, if they are to concern they can add separate fans and cut out the entire wall from where I started.

@39cummins no built in gps it has applications that you can use I use motion x gps cost 1 dollar 1 time only after that you can get a yearly subscription for 9.99 turn by turn instructions. I just use the gps without turn by turn works same. Hope this helps!

I have the same unit in my 06 xterra. do you feel like it sticks out a little too much? I was thinking about drilling new holes in the mounting brackets so it will set the head unit in a little farther. That and I can aim it down a little more.

@ryjay7887 my issue was the angle! I just increased the brightness so that everyone in the back can see it clearly. To do that press and hold the menu button to see the video adjustments. Good Luck!

@aguilar858 Yea, I turned up the brightness a few months ago… Its still not where i want it yet. I think if I put limo tint all around it would help in that aspect. I love the unit and all of its features but really with it would look just a little better in out x’s. Ill do some cutting and drilling and tell you how it goes haha.
